\n The past and Alfa<\/em> Romeo<\/em><\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The City Life commercial and residential district is located in the vast area of the Portello area, a well-known location in Milan as it was the headquarters of Alfa Romeo for decades. Even before that it was a rural peripheral area of the city used mostly for livestock and agricultural activities; in 1910 it was officially acquired by the large car manufacturer and thanks to the expansion of the car factory, other factories were gradually structured, giving jobs to many citizens. \n Evolution and the three towers<\/em><\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

In July 2004, the international tender to win a large area of the Portello, was won for the beauty of 523 million by the City Life Consortium<\/em> that through the projects of architects: Arata Isozaki<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Daniel Libeskind<\/em><\/a> e <\/em>Zaha Hadid<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>will make it an architectural and innovative masterpiece of its kind. The redevelopment works, also including the exhibition halls “inherited” from Fieramilanocity, began in 2007 and ended in 2020 with the laying of the last brick of the Libeskind tower.
